Story at Loches

Together with the students from CLE, we spent a memorable day exploring the charming town of Loches, a true gem of the Loire Valley. Under the sun and in great spirits, we dove into the region’s rich heritage. The morning began with a journey back in time as we visited the impressive medieval donjon — one of the best-preserved in Europe. Afterward, we enjoyed a relaxing picnic in the gardens, where students shared stories and laughter in a multicultural atmosphere. In the afternoon, we explored the royal residence, walking in the footsteps of historic figures such as Agnès Sorel, Charles VII, and Joan of Arc. To wrap up the day, we gathered for a cozy coffee break before heading back to Tours by train. It was a day filled with discovery, cultural exchange, and authentic language practice — all in a setting steeped in history.
