Since 1985, Clé has been offering French courses in small groups (no more than 7 students per class) in a professional and friendly atmosphere. We welcome motivated adults who enjoy our pleasant and stimulating work environment.

We offer a variety of activities in Tours or in the Loire Valley that allow all students to get to know each other and practice French outside of class. In addition, our ideal location in the historic center of Tours allows us to live in the heart of French culture and to fully enjoy an immersion stay in France.

How it all began

In 1985, after several years of teaching abroad, Isabelle and Hervé Aubert returned to France with a vision: to create an exceptional environment where students could thrive while learning French. That vision became CLÉ, founded in the heart of Tours. Their mission was simple yet powerful—provide the ideal conditions for mastering the French language.

Today, CLÉ is proudly led by Céline Sortais, who carries on the family’s legacy of excellence. From the moment you register to the day you depart, Céline is by your side—coordinating your courses, arranging accommodations (if needed), and serving as your trusted guide to the many cultural treasures of the region.
